I purchased an IPhone 4S on ebay but it's locked to O2, what can i do?

I recently purchased an IPhone 4S from ebay but the seller didn't tell me that it was locked to O2. I have a Talk Mobile contract which won't work in this IPhone. I been on the O2 website but in order to get them to unlock i would need the phone number from the Original O2 sim card. I'm also not sure whether it was a monthly contract or pay as you go. Is there anything i can do here? It's been a week and the seller hasn't been in contact with me.

Open a case on eBay and say their didn't include it was locked and that it is unusable and not as described. Make sure you say "not as described" and "not as advertised" that way eBay will put a hold on the money and seller will respond to your case and you have a very high chance to returning it and getting your money back. In some cases you don't even have to pay for return cost, but no always. Good luck… To open a case move your mouse on "customer support" on the top, from the options it gives you click on"resolution center" and then choose "I bought an item… I received an item that does not match the seller's description."
