IPhone 3gs Randomly Turns Off?
My dad had got an iPhone upgrade and so he had the iPhone layin around the house, so I put my sim card in it and I was using it as my phone. But the problem was I would charge it to 100% then it would all of a sudden turn off and the battery % would be at 94%… Anyway I guess to increase the battery strength. Its out of warranty so I'm not sure what the Apple store could do for it.

Can be several answers. First off I would try removing the sim card, booting the phone (plugged in) and running it without a sim card for a while. We have seen a bad sim card cause these type off random shut off issues. Another is that something may be wrong with the logic board - causing it to draw more than standard power out of the battery and causing the phone to shut down.

I recently transfered the board into an iphone 3g case, and ever since its been shutting down randomly with no warning. Okay tbms it turns on and off on and off and then sometimes it shows a red screen for a few seconds then off again and dies out. It's not the battery because I got that changed thinking that it was the cause and it wasn't. So is there anything someone can help me with? The repair guy tried restoring it through iTunes he said it didn't work either it just won't come on it doesn't go pass the Apple logo before shutting off and on again and dying out
- My iphone 3Gs randomly shuts off? So lately i have been having troubles with my iphone 3Gs. I have had it for a little over a year now and i have a bad habit of dropping it. Even a chuck of the plastic on the back has now chipped off. I have a password lock on it so whenever i try to unlock, my phone kind of freezes and it takes awhile for it to register the code i put in. Then once it registers, it just shuts off. This happens every single time… Is there any way to fix this?
