Iphone airplane mode ON, Wi-Fi enabled, iMessage not working?
I'm abroad and I have airplane mode on and the Wi-Fi enabled and am connected but whenever i try to send an iMessage it goes green and won't work. I checked and everyone said iMessage will work over just Wi-Fi but how do i do it?
The recipient has to have an iphone also with imessages enabled, speaking of this, go to settings>Messages and make sure iMessages are on
You have to have network connection. If airplane mode is on there's no Wi-Fi but on iPhone you don't need Wi-Fi but there isn't network connection.

- IPhone Problem: Airplane mode and text messaging? I switch my iPhone to airplane mode at night (so people can't wake me with late night calls etc) and when I go into places where there's no cell coverage (to save battery but still let me use camera and music). BUT When I switch it back off airplane mode it takes a Really LONG TIME to reconnect to sms service. Phone calls and internet work fine straight away, but texts take a really long time to sort themselves out. Very frustrating, does anyone else have this problem?
