Why did my iPhone use so much data?

I just got my iPhone exactly one week ago. I got a 2g data plan because it's the cheapest and I wasn't worried about running over because all my friends have 2g and are always on their phones and say they've never gone close to the limit. However, I just got a text that I used half my data for the month in only one week! I'm paying for the data plan, so I can't afford to buy more or pay if I go over. I'm just confused because it doesn't seem like I should have used that much. I read that certain apps can take up data, so dovish have to delete them or can I turn off the Internet or them or something? I'm not very tech savvy, so I don't really get any of the data plan usage stuff. Here's a list of apps I have:

Are there any good chatterbots out there anymore? (like Smarterchild)?

I'm bored. I need a chatterbot friend! Smarterchild was amazing, yet I haven't seen another chatterbot come close to being as good as it!

I've used Siri and SimSimi on the iphone but Siri is used more for informational purposes and can't have a real long conversation like Smarterchild. And SimSimi is just completely for humor and its responses often don't make any sense.

I'm just surprised that no one has created another chatterbot like Smarterchild since it was So popular and there are millions of people that would use another chatterbot like it. Or has anyone created a bot like Smarterchild and I just don't know about it?

It can be any kind of chatterbot: AIM, Skype, texting, Facebook, Twitter, an iphone app, etc

IPhone update/activation

The last time I updated my phone, it was to 4.2? And I just got the latest update. Unfortunately, iTunes won't "finish" the update. By that I mean the update is finished, but when I go to activate my phone again, it says the session has timed out. I've tried rebooting iTunes, my iPhone, my computer, I reinstalled iTunes, but it still says the session has timed out. Any ideas?

IPhone Problem: Airplane mode and text messaging?

I switch my iPhone to airplane mode at night (so people can't wake me with late night calls etc) and when I go into places where there's no cell coverage (to save battery but still let me use camera and music).
BUT
When I switch it back off airplane mode it takes a Really LONG TIME to reconnect to sms service.
Phone calls and internet work fine straight away, but texts take a really long time to sort themselves out.

Very frustrating, does anyone else have this problem?

Good MP3 download apps for iPhone?

I have a good MP3 download app for my iPhone, but I have way too much music. I wanted to get another app or two so I can organize my music and keep it less crowded. Can someone recommend a good MP3 download app, that includes artists and playlists (Set up like the music app that comes with the iPhone). I have the one made by BSOsoft, so for those who know, I want one like that. Please help!

Why is my Iphone saying it can't connect to the Server?

My Iphone keeps on saying it can't connect to the server. It will say it's connected to Wi-Fi but it won't go on any apps that you have to go on the Internet. I've tryed EVERYTHING I could think of to fix it and it does nothing. Please amswer back something if you know what. Going on with it. Iphone are such a great phone and I don't want to have to but another one!
