I can't import photos from iphone to macbook pro?

I've been trying to import photos from my iphone but i can't figure out how. The usual way I do it is just go to itunes (after plugging in my iphone to the macbook) then clicking sync and they would all be there, but not now. I also tryed clicking preview the file then import to iphone but when that happened there where NO photos there, i've also tryed with iphoto but can't figure out how and it is just really annoying me. How to get a full 8 hours sleep?

My wife normally stays awake until 11 PM or even midnight and then when she does get to sleep she spends about a good half hour on her iphone. I'm the kind of person that can't sleep unless everything is as dark and silent as the grave. If I try to go to bed early she will invariably stay awake and either watch tv or surf the web, but even if she turns the volume down the glare keeps me awake. All of this is compounded by the fact that I have a cat who loves to wake me up anywhere between 2 and 4 AM. Also I'm taking the GRE soon and I find myself so anxious thinking about it that I simply can't get any sleep. I've been averaging about 2 to 3 hours sleep a night. Are there any non-habit forming sleep aids that are strong enough to knock me the f*** out?

Unlocking sim for iPhone 3gs?

Ok, so I've been having a lot of trouble with trying to unlock my iPhone. I jail-broke my phone a month ago and I have cydia and all that stuff, and I don't think that's what you use to unlock the simcard. Maybe it has something to do with the firmware? It's 05.16.05. If I have to update the firmware, or download something on my phone please tell me. I just want to use the phone.

Convert int to string in Object-C with ARC?

I'm learning iPhone programming, and I was trying to get a random number, and display it in a UILabel. So to do that, I need to convert the int to a string. The problem is that I'm using the ARC which isn't liking it. It says "Implicit conversion of int to NSString is disallowed with ARC."

This is what I'm using:

int r = arc4random() % 101;
NSString *newValue = [[NSString alloc]initWithFormat:@"%d", r];
myNewValue.text = r;

Should I buy an iPhone 3GS or an iPhone 4?

I would like to buy a new phone and I've always wanted an iPhone, but never had the money to buy one - but now I do. I'm 100% sure that I will buy an iPhone, so please don't suggest any other mobile phones that I should buy. I should tell you that I want to buy the iPhone upfront, without any contracts or monthly payments. I should also tell you not to recommend an iPod Touch since many people have; I already own one.
