How to ask my dad for a proper phone when he has money?

Okay so my dad and mom are separated and my mom provides for housing and food everything else. My dad provides for phones and electronics. Now I'm 15 and responsible I never broken a phone and take care of my stuff. I was looking for a iphone. And wish the app showed me some cheap iphones I did my research and told my mom about it but she doesn't believe in apps like that. My dad has a iphone and the women he is with and her daughter all have one. He went to buy me one and I asked for a iphone but he said no and was looking for a cheap phone. I had a phone before never broke it just was a bad phone and started acting weird and the camera was terrible and I want to start a youtube channel but the quality is bad. So I need a good phone so how should I ask my dad for a iphone or maybe a samsung. I do well in school and help my family with a lot of things. I have a phone now but its even worse cause I can't make calls and I have trouble sending messages when I really need to send them. I have a long distance relationship and I need to stay connected. So how can I ask my dad for a proper phone when he has money?

Are my AirPods faulty cause they re really quiet on volume level 2 when they shouldn t be?

I know they get louder on volume 2 cause for the first time today for about 4 seconds they spazzed out and played the sound they should play on volume 2 then went back to quiet. I have to have them almost full blast to actually hear and it isn't that loud, should I go to apple to?

Added (1). They're airpods 2 & been like this since the day I got them so it isn't a wax builf up etc. Lol
