How did I send texts with my cell and Wi-Fi shut off? - 1

Added (1). I sent and received texts on my iPhone today, then realized my cell and Wi-Fi were off. What's going on? Was it sending over the telephone line? Have I been hacked by a Stingray device?

Which is more evil: Apple or Microsoft?

Which is more evil: Apple or Microsoft? - 1

Added (1). Part of the reason Apple is so expensive is because their hardware is higher quality, so that isn't a reason that they're evil.

Added (2). HOWEVER, Apple does basically force you to buy a new iPhone by not telling you that your phone won't be able to handle any more updates until AFTER you install an update that cripples your phone, so that is something that makes them evil. But trying to force people to update to Windows 10 is pretty evil too.

Is this considered a rich/spoiled lifestyle for a teen?

DISCALIMER: NOT MY LIFE, JUST THE LIFE OF MANY PEOPLE IN MY SCHOOL.
I will now pretend to be one of them and describe my life pretending to be them (first person).
Ok so my mom is a doctor and my dad is a lawyer. My mom has a BMW X5 and my dad has the Jeep Grand Cheeokee. I wear the following clothing brands:
Lululemon
Vineyard vines
Ivory Ella
Cotton Island
The impeccable pig
Thepinkmonogram

I have an adorable white fluffy husky and a handsome looking German Shepard. I'm actually so obsessed with vineyard vines. I have all their graphic tee shirts in all of their colors. I have 5 or 6 pairs of different uggs, around 7 or 8 different nikes and some converse. My leggings are either from lululemon or pink. When it's cold, I wear my north face jackets. (I have 3-4). Enough about clothing, here are other stuff I have that is not clothing:

A flat screen in my room

Giving an old iPhone to a family member?

Warning: I'm not the most tech savvy.

My brother got an Android and wants to give his old iPhone 4s to my dad.

The SIM card is taken out, and I want to give my dad a clean start, but I'm worried that because the card isn't there anymore, he won't be able to do certain things on the iPhone after the reset. I would like to give him a new iCloud account as well, but keeping my brother's old one is fine.

Should I just go ahead and reset everything, or simply clean up stuff but leave the iCloud account? I would like my dad to receive messages from his own contacts without my brother receiving the message, or is that not possible?

How to pursue my desired career?

When I grow up I want to be a photographer but like one for magazines and stuff, like vogue or paper. I know I would have to go to photography school, right? I just want to know what to do after all that. I would have to make a portfolio, right? And should I start now? I take pictures on my acaltel phone and I edit them and stuff, I have an Instagram. I kind of wish I had an iPhone or a nice camera to take better pictures. Anyway, how should I do all this is a break down? I'm a sophomore in high school and I'm looking for a job right now to raise up money for a camera.

Was my husband in the wrong just now defending our daughter?

Our daughter (12yrs) has an iPhone. I have told her many times that she is not allowed to play games on it in the house. When she's at home she can do homework, research stuff on her computer, read, draw, practice her violin, play with her dog, but she is not allowed to play games on her phone. She quite often sneaks her phone into the toilet and plays games there, I've told her not to but when she's pooping I can't just burst in there and take it away. Also, she is in charge of packing her school bag in preparation for the next day.

So tonight I came back from the gym and my daughter was slumped on the sofa at bed time playing games on her phone. I sternly said, but without shouting or swearing " I have told you no iPhone games in the house, why are you playing games when it's late, and why are you playing games when you haven't packed your school bag yet?" She got up and started doing it and my husband strait away said to me "stop shouting" when I wasn't shouting (I really wasn't) and when I told him to but out he said "I'm sure she wasn't playing games, I think she might have just been using her calculator" when I had seen she was playing Candy Crush.

She is allowed to play games on the bus/ tube/ car and long journeys. She's lucky to have an iPhone and she should not be playing games on it when we've told her no. I'm so angry at my husband.

Added (1). I don't want her playing the iPhone because there are better things to do. There's plenty of time in cars/ trains and buses to play, and she doesn't achieve enough to deserve to play.
