I'm communicating with a guy from a dating site, by email but have avoided using my iPhone, I'm just wondering if I send an email using it does he get any indication of my number, or any indication that I used my iphone? As I told him my phone was broke (yes I lied I know just sounded nicer than, I don't trust you with it). I'm not ready to give him my phone number so just want to make sure it's ok to use it, is there any way he can trace my number if I email him using the phone.
I'm having a difficult time understanding local/external ip address and how computers communicate over the internet. My brother is trying to set up a home website to mess around with before he actually pays for drupal hosting, and I've installed and worked with Drupal before so I told him I'd install it for him take care of any problems he comes across, but I'd like to ssh into his computer to do this because we live in different states. The problem is I don't know how to ssh into computers over the internet, I've only ever done it locally or using a domain name.
A local SSH connection is simple, you just do something like ssh username@192.168.26.245 and if you have sshd installed on that machine you can connect to it.
But what if I want to connect to a computer outside of my local network? What do I do? Is it as simple as having him go to "what is my ip" and giving me that and using that after making sure that the ssh server is installed and running on his machine?
I plan on reading Network Warrior at some point but at the moment I'm swamped, if anyone has a link to a guide online or can explain how one goes about sshing across the internet fully here I would appreciate it greatly.
I stupidly left a glass of water on the table bedside my laptop and my boyfriend accidentally spilt the whole thing on my laptop. It didn't get to the battery or screen at all. Only on the keyboard. We got to it right away, turned it off and turned it upside down and cleaned it with a towel. Most of the keys don't work now but it turns on and functions normally otherwise.
I have heard about iPhones going through the wash and sitting for a few days - when they're dry they work again. Will the same thing happen to my laptop? Or do I have to buy a whole new computer?
I have OCD and created multiple accounts on Instagram with multiple disposable email addresses, not knowing that there's a limit in how many Instagram accounts you can create per IP address. I only have one iPhone. Would it be against Instagram terms and conditions to have Apple give me a new IP address on my iPhone so I can create one more Instagram account that I can use permanently?
I've made this mistake before - I got a 16 GB ipod 5 and I thought it would be the same as the 32 and 64. But it wasn't. No back camera or loop. I was kinda upset about it and I don't want to make that mistake again so could someone please tell me if the iPhone 5s 16 and 32 GB are the same or different (besides the storage capacity) Thank you!
Ok well it's winter and its 10:40pm in Aistralia and I heard a weird noise in my room like something was nibbling through my wall and I heard like walls was filled will scratching or scattering noises
When I turned on my iphone flash light button I looked around my room but not under my bed then the noise stopped and my room is pretty messy I'm not gonna lie
I have bbm on the iPhone and so do they, I deleted someone last night after an argument.
Just wondering will the chat still be on their phone or will that also go as I don't want them to be able to get my pin again? I'm new to bbm so I'm not too sure x
I wish I could be a teenager for one day. Just to see what it would be like to grow up in an age of all technology such as internet, cell phones and social media. Most none of us grew up with any of this. My daughter is in the first generation of this era and I sometimes look at her and wish I could know what it feels like to have all of this as a teen, (could you imagine how different it would be?) but the truth is that I never will and that makes me sad and kind of envious of her and it also makes me sad she'll never know what it was like to not have all that technology. Dual emotions going on at the same time.
This questions goes to EVERYBODY. Young or old. To the older generation, what do you think it's like?
So before I start, this is not what I'm definitely getting. It's just a list for my parents from some things they can choose from if they would like to get me! I'm not selfish or anything is their anything else I could add? No rude comment please
