Restoring/Deleting data on iPhone 3GS?
Is there another, quicker way to restore the iPhone 3GS to factory settings? I've heard it can take 3-4 hours. If I delete all of my contacts, notes, pictures etc myself would this be enough?

Recently my phone got stolen and i just upgraded it. Sprint says they don't take phones off of amazon. But i really don't want to pay 700 for an iphone
Added (1). ebay is not acceptable as well
I have recently bought the new Iphone 5s, i've done the regular set up etc, however it just won't connect to Vodafone automatically. I've tried turning the 'carrier' mode off and manually connecting to the available network but it still won't connect to Vodafone!
I don't want to look weird b/c i started to notice 8 year olds with iphones and i think it is super ridiculous b/c they are so young but then i wonder that i'm too young to dye my hair and other -older- people look at me and think that it is ridiculous that i'm only 13 and i dyed my hair.
All my settings are turned on for my phone to make noise whe I receive notifications. However, when I do receive any notification from any app it appears on my lock screen but doesn't light up my screen or make a noise, what could possibly be wrong?
Basically I'm going soccer aid on Sunday
But the only seats I managed to get is in STH 121 really far back.
All I wanted to know is if anyone knows any ways before or after the game I'll be able to see the celebrities and legends playing (particularly Van Der Sar) so I can get their autographs and pictures.
Also from my seat will I get better pictures from my iPhone camera or from a normal digital camera?!
Children my age get blamed for this generation being messed up. I totally agree I the this generation. I wish we could go back to childhood, where when we were 5 we'd be out playing with our friends. 5 year olds now are sitting in all day in their iPhones. 13 year olds dress inappropriate and wear too much makeup. Songs are rubbish and technology is ruining everything.
This is for an essay so your opinion on this generation would really help.

Asking again as I got no answers in phones section; I used to have an iPhone 5 which I updated to iOS 7 & then iOS 7.1.1 which I did straight away as soon as I got the phone. The phone turned out to be second hand used and was replaced by Apple Store under UK consumer law, there was a fault with the phone that I found out it was used, when the home button stopped working, but at the same time I had severe battery drain issues, where the battery would be completely drained in 20 minutes and even the aid of a Mophie battery case the battery was dead in 3 hours so I even got a DNS power pack too.
I now have a new iPhone 5 on iOS 6, the battery performance is not great either, to test it, I used the screen at full brightness & never turn off, location services turned on and currently have 4 hours. 46 minutes of usage with 7 hours of standby.
So I do not want to ruin another iPhone, is iOS 7.1.1 safe to upgrade to? Or is it best to wait for iOS 8? And do current iOS 8 users on beta program have any issues with battery performance yet?
I really liked iOS 7 and iOS 8 looks really good from the demonstrations I have seen, but really do not want a poorly performing battery
