Replacing Verizon iPhone 4S?

I bought my iPhone about a year and a half ago (but am using a refurbished replacement they sent me a couple months ago when it was lost) and signed up for the $10/month insurance plan. My mom recently called Verizon to replace her broken iPhone and they charged her $170 deductible for the new one. My friend who had water damage in her phone, on the other hand, said she took it to the Apple store and got a free replacement. Were they just being nice to her, or was Verizon ripping off my mom? I may need to replace my current phone soon (because refurbished ones are terrible) and was wondering if I'd be better off going through Apple than Verizon. All my phones in the past have been replaced for free so I don't know why my mom was charged. Is it an iPhone thing?

Will there be risks and messups if I update my IPhone 4 to 6.1.3?

I have an IPhone 4 and I'm super scared to update it because I'm scared something is going to screw up on my phone. My sister's phone became slow when she updated it and my parents phone's contacts switched. My worst concern is my pictures being deleted or messed up. Does anyone know if my phone will mess up at all if i update? (i got my phone in October and haven't ever update if that's important.)

How to restore iPhone from ios 7 download?

My boyfriend Downloaded ios 7 beta, updated when update popped up on my phone. (Not a developer). Phone started getting slow and crashing. He wanted to get rid of ios 7 beta. He download 6.13 to computer, on itunes clicked shift+ restore, opened file, downloaded to my phone. His phone was back to 6.13 but all of his files were missing and his phone said he need ios 7 to retrieve back up. Tried to go back to ios 7 by doing shift+ restore, once that happened its stayed at the activation screen saying "Activation Error" This is not registered as part of the iPhone Developer Program… Etc. How can I fix this? I've called apple been on the phone for a while

How to manage storage on my IPhone?

I have the iPhone 5, I have the 5 GB, I have close to 900 songs, i tried downloading a song, it says storage full… Not that many apps that I downloaded, just like FB, Twitter, Instagram, fantasy baseball and a few games, and team stream, I deleted Facebook and put it on my home screen via safari. So how can I make my storage better instead of having to delete apps and going on safari to use them?

Why can't my iTunes convert my music?

Okay so I used to use my iPhone 3s to convert music from my Mac OS X to the iPhone 3. Now I got the iPhone 4S and all my music from the old iPhone is still on the iTunes account, but it won't convert to my iPhone 4S account. Can someone tell me how I can get my music to my iPhone 4S?
