Iphone 4 unlocking in the UK to then be used in the USA?
I have had an iPhone 4 than ran out of contract with Tesco Mobile in the UK last Christmas, As I got a new iPhone 5 with Vodafone now I asked Tesco for an unlocking code a few months back for the older phone, I presume this has worked OK as it now has a no service caption on the top of the screen. I have been using the iPhone 4 as an MP3 player ever since. I'm due to go to the USA for a month in August & wanted to know that if my iPhone 4 is now unlocked can I get a local sim card for that month, use it & then when I get back to the UK be easily able to switch back to another British network should I need to?

It's about 1cm by 1cm big, not very deep but still noticeable. I always keep my iPhone in a case and with a screen cover. Sometimes I drop it with the case on, and perhaps it got dented one time when I dropped it on accident. I have had my iPhone for about 2 months and I'm pretty sure I have a full year of insurance from my phone company…
My question is, should I get it replaced or would it not be worth it? Is there any way I can fix it? It really annoys me, and I'm also worried that it might harm how my phone functions, will it?
