Ok so i updated my iphone 5 from 6.0.2 to 6.1. And soon after i did that i looked it up on the internet which says the jailbreak for iphone 5 6.1 is coming soon.BUT… It says you can't do it OTA you must do it through i tunes, so i accidently did it
how can i undo that? I tried downloadin the IPSW for iphone 5 6.1 and restore it, but it says firmware is not compatible help!
Currently do not have a phone, will be getting a plan sometime this week. Was just wondering if the iPhone 5 is worth getting on a 2 year contract? I mean, the 5s or 6 or whatever Apple decides to call their new phone will be coming out this summer or fall… And by then the 5 will be old. If I get the 5 now, I'll be upgrading to the new iPhone on 2015. Apple, Y U KEEP MAKIN NEW PHONES EVERY FEW MONTHS! -.
This actually makes me really angry because one of the most common things I hear about jail breaking, is that you can get all the apps for free. Don't people know that this is stealing, if I came round your house and stole your TV or computer, what would you think, you would be outraged because I had burgled your home and stole your belongings - the things that you had worked so hard to earn the money to buy.
Likewise jailbreaking your iPhone just so you can download the apps for free the same sort of thing. People have spent a lot of time and money creating these apps and if they are then stolen that company loses out on its income, which means they can't afford to do updates or fix any bugs with their software or create any new apps.
Now if you are jailbreaking simply to get access to the hidden settings, then that I can tolerate but even this does not make sense. There's phones out there that come per-jailbroken and provide the end user with a nightly customisable set of settings and features… The operating system is called Android and the most well know manufacturer is reshape Samsung but there are many many more.
So jailbreaking an iPhone makes no sense to me - either financially or technically.
Therefore why do people do it
I've been plugging my iPhone into my new computer, but it won't show up on iTunes. I've authorized my computer and everything, and my computer has been recognizing that there's a device but it won't show up on iTunes.
I have an iphone 4s with verizon and I'm in france for the next 4 months. I have my celluar data turned off to restrict all data to Wi-Fi, but when I got to france my iphone automatically connected to the SFR carrier here in Paris. I'm worried that there will be substantial charges to my phone, but if verizon and sfr have some sort of partnership, how will this work? Will i only be billed if i make calls within france?
Also, I have the global plan with verizon that says my parents can call me from the us Whenever they want and it will be free, as long as they call me. So how exactly does this all work with voice roaming internationally? I'm not using data except for Wi-Fi and I'm not sending any texts/making calls. Can someone please explain, I've looked all over the internet!
So I'm going to unlock my iPhone to T-Mobile but I'm going to use a third party unlock, the question is that if I get the phone unlock and do the process and don't have the sim card yet, will it still be unlocked when I do get the plan? 'Caise you have to have the network aim card you plan to use (experienced users please)

When i go into Settings > carrier and turn automatic off, i get a screen with a list of networks, eg o2 uk, vodafone uk, three uk, orange.currently i have a vodafone sim card in the iphone on pay as you go, but i need to change it to a three sim card on contract.
By the way i'm running ios 6.1 if thats any help.
Every time I go to take a photo of my nails on my phone the camera is really blurry and won't focus. The camera is not dirty and it used to work perfectly fine before. The front camera works fine how it did before its just the back camera that's playing up.
How can I get my back camera to work again?

My Iphone only charges when it's off and I have no idea why. I didn't drop my phone only went outside and then it suddenly wouldn't charge and I figured out that my phone will only charge when It's off and I have an issue with that cause I can't use my phone when it's off and I can't back up my phone to the computer. Any ideas why? Or how to fix this issue?
