New version of iTunes! IPhone does not appear

Okay so my iPhone is locked and my little sis tried the password a bunch of times till she unable it. So the only way of course to fix it is to connect to iTunes. I went and downloaded the new version of iTunes into my computer.looked for the iPhone settings and won't see it all I see is library and iTunes. The iPhone does not appear at all!
So is there any suggestions?

Added (1). I plugged it in and it says itunes could not connect your iphone because it is locked enter you passcode and what i'm trying to do is open it through itunes

How to factory restore an iphone 3g with a broken power button?

I have a jailbroken iphone 3g, it has been bricked but when i connect it to the computer and hold the menu button it turns on with the itunes symbol, how can i restore it to an old f/w with out itunes?

Cellular usage being used while I'm sleeping?

I have a iphone 4s on Vodafone's pay monthly.
My Cellular is being used and it's going up every 5 minutes by KB not MB.
But as you know KB will eventually turn into MB and one day this will have me going over my Data limit (250mb).
I've only tried Double clicking my home button to see if there are any background apps.
Over night i switched push notifications off and left Wi-Fi on, when i woke up 500mb of Wi-Fi had been used.

WHAT IS USING MY DATA?

Ps: I have push notifications enabled on Facebook/Instagram/Twitter etc but even when i'm not recieving them, something is taking my mb.

How to unlock iphone 5 from UK to another network?

Well my friend just got his iPhone 5 from the UK and he lives in the Philippines. The problem is that the Philippines sim doesn't work on his iPhone, its says "No Service" so he is going to return his phone back to the UK to unlock it… But is there anyway for him to unlock it himself? Apparently, he needs the iFactory, which is I don't know… But yeah. Its just THE POINT IS THE SIM HE PUT THAT IS NOT FROM THE UK… IT DOESN't WORK. So yeah… If you can tell me the reason behind this. That will help.

This subject is a wonderland for trolls and scammers, so I don't know what to believe. Has the dev team set any approximation of when we can expect to see this jailbreak? I heard December, 2012, but that's almost over.

Why do people like to hate on iPhones?

Almost every video comparing an iPhone to an android or a windows phone. The opposing phone always wins and all of the comments are like "anythings better than Ishit" like seriously… What's so bad about iPhones and apple products.
