About Iphone 3GS Registration?

I have purchased a second hand Iphone 3gs from some one. But unfortunately when i'm trying to log in to any application this phone is asking for previous users registered Itune Login Email Id Password. The previous user from whom i have purchased this phone is not ready to give me that password. Please help how to unlock that password so that i can freshly registered my email id to Itune.

Added (1). I have tried to reset this phone unfortunately again the previous user has putted password on that. And i don't know the password.

Defender vs Commuter Otterboxes for Iphone 5?

Okayy, I've had the defender before so i know how good it works, i just hate how bulky it is! I've never had the commuter and want to know if it protects an iphone as good as the defender? Since i tend to drop my phone every now and then!

However, all of my notes on my iphone 4 got deleted for some reason so when i restored my back up on my computer, i got them all back but lost about 50-60 pictures.
