I recently bought an i phone from my friend and right now i don't want to be locked into a cell phone plan. So i'm wondering if i could just go to walmart and buy a tmobile prepaid sim card. The ones that are talk, text, and web for 50 a month. I heard from somewhere that if i did that i wouldnt be able to get on the internet and i don't really care for all that. All i need is calling and texting
I live in Canada and I'm planning to go to New York, My plan was to bring my phone device over there however I didn't want to do a international plan with my phone company as they are TOO EXPENSIVE! I wanted to get a "Pay As You Go" or "Cheap" plan with a SimCard just for ONE WEEK.
Does anyone know which carrier I can do this with?
And who supports the new IPhone 5 or IPhone in general? Also the phone company I'm with now is FIDO.

So would that mean that the iPhone 5 from Verizon is still unlocked? The Verizon iPhone 5 has a sim slot and I'm saying this because people who answered my last question said that it did not. I do not plan on opening up the iPhone 5 box until I can verify that it is unlocked. I will be paying the early termination fee so I wouldn't have Verizon service on it anymore. I know there are many articles stating that the Verizon iPhone 5 is in fact unlocked but those articles were from a month ago and I even asked Verizon representatives if they even ever were unlocked and all of them I've asked say "no".So for those who got their iPhone 5 from Verizon this month, are these models still unlocked? Please answer ONLY if you tried.
When I plug my iPhone 4s into my laptop, iTunes works fine, but the 'autoplay' pop-up option doesn't appear so I can import photos from my phone to my laptop. I've tried going into My Computer, but it's not listed. I've also tried unplugging it and restarting both my phone and laptop. I'm just wondering if there's a way to switch 'autoplay' back on as it does not appear any more, or if there are settings on my phone I need to fix.
