I have an iPhone 4S running iOS6, iTunes running iOS10 on a PC.
I've been syncing photos from a folder on my PC called "PC pics", and have also created another photo album within the iPhone "photo albums" called "job photos". Today I took a bunch of photos at work and before I got to my desk I moved them from the "camera roll" to my "job photos" album, and then deleted the original ones from "camera roll". Everything was fine until I synced my iPhone. Before syncing it I decided to stop syncing the "PC pics" folder from my PC in order to save space. I unchecked the box on iTunes to stop syncing from my PC, then I synced the phone. After it was done all the new photos I had just moved over to the "job photos" album were gone.
I'm well aware of recovering from backup, but I hadn't backed up my iPhone for several days so this wouldn't retrieve the photos I took today. Any advice on how/if I can recover my photos from today?
