Hi I'm Ryan, 15 years old, just about to start year 11 and I live in England in a small town.
I have noticed in my school and area there's a great rise in 'chavs' I feel honestly ashamed to be brought up with these people. I'm one of the rare 'good' kids, never gets in trouble in school, friendly, well mannered and never try to be some one I'm not to impress others… Hence why I'm not a chav, so as you guessed I'm not popular in my school, (too be popular now requires you to be a drug user, an alcoholic and loose your virginity at the age of 13).
My real question is, how has this all happened? I see children of aes 11+ acting so… Naughty, maybe cheesy but the only real way to describe them. Today I was just casually walking and some year 8 (12/13 year old) thinks it's okay to smack me in the face with paper as they walked pass me with their group of friends, "lol innit blad, yea fam" ect ect. With their trousers down to their ankles. And there's me carrying on, acting like it didn't happen. When in fact anyone else my age would of responded: "You wat blad? You wanna fight?" or something along the lines of that…
Most of us are born in the 90's a pretty good decade, now children are being raised with iPhone's and x box's, I see children aged 8 with iPhone's, I still own an Nokia from 2006… Especially young children i see with no manners, acting like wannabe gangstas! Swearing, I'm honestly ashamed of my generation.
What will it be like in the future, when we're the future parents and leaders of the world? The chav today would be a normal class in the future? Will we train how to hold knifes instead of learning Shakespeare in English! Madness.
What do you think is the reason behind all of this?
