Is it possible to restore a deleted Apple ID? - 1
Added (1). My daughter lost her iPhone. She suspected that someone on her sport club stole her iPhone. Her line is part of an AT&T family plan, and we got the phone from AT&T. I temporarily deactivated her phone/number until we could verify that the phone was gone for good. In the interim, my daughter freaked out and deleted her Apple ID and iCloud.com email account, thinking that those who stole her phone my somehow get into her personal information.
Added (2). Wouldn't you know it, the phone was "found" and returned to her. I reactivated her phone, but the phone remains deactivated until such time that she uses her Apple ID to log in. The problem is that the Apple ID no longer exists.
Added (3). She called Apple Support, and Apple security got involved, saying that they need proof of purchase or a receipt to reactivate the phone. However, we added the line and obtained the phone over a year ago - all online. We only have confirmation emails from AT&T, which for security purposes I presume, does not include the iPhone serial number that Apple Security says that they require. It is a total Catch-22.
Added (4). We have the original box with the serial number, and we took a photo and emailed it to Apple, which wasn't good enough. They still require a proof of purchase.
Any suggestions?
