Annual credit report.com said my score was 650 in 2007, at age 20. I closed the account (high interest, low limit, no fee, sparingly used) soon after, bought an iPhone, recession happened, never found a job, then owed hundreds to AT&T and an ambulance, which I can't pay even a fraction of till next year (also, I wouldn't know how to contact the collection agencies anymore and they might not know my info by now either)
I had $20-100 of library fines for much of the time from high school to this very moment, though never more than $50 each library system, though I paid them off at least once (while an adult).
Other than that never enough debt to go bankrupt or get a lawyer involved. I'm not /that/ stupid. I don't like to break contracts, or pay too much interest.
But I'm moving to a cheaper part of the state and really really need one, I don't even have enough for security deposit. So a way likely to accept me is good as being denied or even applying makes your credit score worse, right? Even a $250 or $500 limit with annual fee and high interest would be really helpful to me right now. Though I don't want to give up too much to prevent a low chance of disapproval. Preferably, I'd like one by Thursday morning or at the least next week.
