I'm taking a break from iMessage and I was wondering if me disabling it on my phone will remove my location that I've shared with others? Or are they still able to see my location even when iMessage is disabled?
Back-round: I'm a college student who currently has an Iphone 7+. I transfer out to university this upcoming fall semester (I've been at community college) meaning I'll be extra broke and won't be able to afford any sort of phone upgrade for probably the next 2+ years. I have the money now, should i go for it?
Also, I like the quality of apples cameras/software compatibility too much to go back to an android phone.
I had a few questions regarding her arrest. What could China do if she isn't released? I saw that China has banned iPhones today, could this start a war between The US/Canada and China? Will this just be a "Technology Cold War?" China says there will be major consequences if she isn't released… What could these consequences be?

I want to buy an iPhone 7, my mum said if I wanted one I had to buy it myself otherwise just stick to the one I have now. That's fine by me, I know her money doesn't grow on trees, only how do I get a job at age 13? I'm seriously considering this. I'm from the UK if that helps.

Mine has the Samsung Galaxy S5 I got her in July. When she first got it she said this is pretty old and all her friends have iPhone 6, 6s or 7. I told her we're on a budget and to be gratful for what she has, she accepted this and hasn't complained since. Do you know a 13 year old? This can be a daughter, son, cousin, neice, nephew, friend, etc. What type of phone do they have? I'm thinking of getting mine one for Christmas.
She needs a phone because she often goes out with her friends without me, she needs to be able to call or text me so I know where she is. She also uses it for homework sometimes and likes to play games, text her friends, etc. She has a parental lock so I know what she's doing and how much screen time she's having too.
