Internet download speed problem?

I have 2 problems the first being my download speed and the second being my ping. I know they are some how connected, but any assistance would be nice.

I'm downloading a 200mb file right now and my download speed usually is about 2-3MB a second, but I'm only getting up to about 1.5 mbps for about 5-10 seconds then it drops to below 700 kbps and then drops again to below 500kbps and just moments ago i was below 100 kbps. I have 35 MPBS internet through charter communications and i have never had this problem before.

As for the ping situation I used to be at 25 and below with my ping when playing games and now I can't seem to get past 45 ping(55 ping avg) and occasionally it spikes up to any from 150-500 ping for a minute or two. There are 13 wireless devices in my house but no more then 4 are on at a time (laptop, iphone, ipad, android). Youtube and netflix are non-existent in my house.

I would like this resolved please and thank you ahead of time

Brand New Windows 8 Laptop. Can't connect to home Wi-Fi?

I've been tirelessly searching a ton of forums to help me find an answer to my question, but I have had no success. Yesterday I bought a Gateway® 15.6" NV570P11u Touch Screen Notebook from Target. I fired it up, and was super excited to play around and surf the web. One huge problem: when I click on the internet the webpage says "This page can't be displayed"

I do not understand why because I have three bars on my Wi-Fi & when I click the Wi-Fi button in the bottom right corner, it tells me I'm 'connected' (sometimes it says limited). I literally just took it out of the box, went to set up my Microsoft Office and it wouldn't let me connect to the internet.

I have my Windows 7 Sony Vaio right next to this new Windows 8 Gateway and I'm on the internet with no problems.

When I click fix connection problems it says, "the remote device or resource won't accept the connection"

Somebody please help me, I'm clueless. Why are my other machines connecting to the internet? But not this one? (Laptops, iPhone, etc)

I have a gsm verizon iphone 4s and i need to switch it to straight talk. I did this before with my at&t iphone 4 and it worked with green poison. I insterted my friends straight talk sim card and it wouldnt read it but my phone wasn't jailbroken at the time. Anyhelp is apreciated

Should I sell to a pawn shop?

I have an iPad mini in great condition. I could use the money but they're offering $150 which from my understanding is good for a pawn shop. However I have been trying to sell it on Craigslist for $200. I'm having a hard time deciding if it is a good deal for me to just take the $150. I have a hard time letting it go because it is in SUCH GREAT condition. I've only had it for a week and received it as a gift but since I have an iPhone and laptop, I don't have much use for it. Any advice?

My iphone got wet in the rain and now my sound is playing really low and muffled?

It was raining and I was out and my iPhone was in my pocket, I don't even know how it got wet or it could of been a puddle that splashed but now when I play music, phone rings or text alert its very quiet and muffled and crackly or sometimes I can hardly hear anything at all. I've reset it twice now but nothing has changed
I'm just wondering if there's anything I can do to fix this and has anyone had this problem before
