A friend has an iPhone 5 from Sprint. He wants to unlock it so that he can use it with T-mobile.
I'm not sure how this unlock and carrior transfer business works…
Is it possible to switch from Sprint to T-mobile? - Would there be any limitations?
If so where can I go to have the phone unlocked.
Is there any possible free ways of doing it? (like using redsn0w or such software)?

I tried to use the iCloud thing but it wouldn't let me because they shut down the service on my iPhone 4. And I can't email or text them either (once again, no service). What's the easiest way to transfer the pictures/videos?
Also, is there a way to transfer notes? I know that sounds weird but I wrote stories and poems in them, and I want them on my new phone too.

Okay, so I want to buy an iphone 5c. I'll probably get it right from apple. Will the plan from the link above work with this phone? Second of all, can I use my phone on wi-fi and have no data at all? Is there plan for the same price with unlimited texting and calling and no data, where I can only get internet with wi-fi? Needs to be through At&t. Also, can I get the phone, and not buy a plan right away? If I were to get the phone now, only use itunes on it, and wait until summer to get a phone plan, (when I can afford to pay 25 a month) would that work? I'm trying to not have to buy an ipod and a phone, so if this would work with not getting a plan until summer, that would be great. Thanks!
Added (1). I do know all about wi-fi and where to get it, I was asking if there was a plan which had no data and involved me getting the internet through wi-fi. I have wi-fi in my house, for that matter, and at school.
Added (2). And my friends who don't have data on their phones can get internet at school, and they can also get internet on their ipods at school through wi-fi, so their phones can connect to the internet through wi-fi I think
So I had my brother put about 2500 songs on a flash drive for me so I can put them onto my iphone 4s through iTunes.
All the songs are currently on iTunes, but they won't sync to my phone. I don't know why. I've tried everything I could think of.
Can someone help me figure it out?
I put my phone on an iphone dock and when i took it off my volume bar disappeared. I tried cleaning it, i tried holding the top button and double clocking the home, i've rebooted it, turned it on and off. Nothings working, please help
When people try to call me sometimes my phone rings once, then goes to voicemail and sometimes doesn't ring at all. They have to call me at least 2-3 times before it actually works. Why is this? Do Not Disturb is off (I don't think that would be the problem anyway since it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't). This is a BRAND NEW iPhone… Is there another setting I should be looking for or should I take it into the Apple store?
So I got an alpine ute-42bt for Christmas and installed it myself. The radio works fine but she I try and use the USB it will connect and say what song is playing and how long it is playing etc. But no music will be playing. Also using an auxiliary cable won't work and the Bluetooth will attempt to pair but then my iPhone will say pairing unsuccessful. I have tried this with multiple phones and they all do the same thing. Any idea won't could be the problem?
So i have the iphone 5s, and it's my first iphone. I'm still kinda new to its features. Last night randomly at around 2am i got a text from an email (like a jibberish email it seemed) and it just said " ".So pretty much nothing. From what i know when i used my ipod, text messages from emails usually means it came from other iphones that set itself to send as their email or ipods right? I'm only asking because if that person sent the text through the email connected to my phone, I'm creeped out since no one knows that email. The person never responded when i asked who they were either. I'm just creeped out since occasionally I get messages/calls from people i don't know.
So I just recently got my old iphone 4s back. I've been using another phone cause I left the country. So now that I'm back I got my numbers transferred over my phone to my old iphone. I had icloud on my itunes places all the apps back onto my iphone 4s. So today is the first day that I've been using my iphone and the battery is draining crazy fast. I've only been using twitter and after an hour I went from 90% battery to 50 %. And the iphone is really hot. I read online and it seems like I should turn off all my notifications. I did that but it didn't seem to work. I'm thinking of just completely restarting my iphone to factory settings, but I'm not sure. What do you guys think?
