Does this sound like an eBay scam?

So a lady just bought something on eBay from me. She sent me a text message on my iPhone for some reason (I'm wondering how she got my number) and said this:

Good Day Reed, I'm Mrs Brenda Benjamin from FL, a member of the Jehovah Witness. I just won your item on eBay (she never won anything, she did buy it now) and I will be sending International as a birthday gift to my son, who is in the US army, presently in Nigeria for peace keeping. I will be paying extra for shipping expenses. Waiting for the shipping cost and the Paypal money Request so the payment can be made at once, so that the item can get to my Son in West Africa as soon as possible."

I always get messages from people in Nigeria saying that they're willing to pay extra. It's kind of making me feel uncomfortable that she has my phone number and sent me a text message explaining this to me. It honestly sounds like a scam, as she is a new member. What do you guys think?

Added (1). I texted her back saying that I would not go through with the deal. I'm very worried that since she got my number, she might have other details of mine as well. I reported her to eBay. Anyone know how long it'll take for them to take action?

I can only afford an iphone with a 3 year contract, because it cost less for the phone itself and with the 2 year contract I have to pay over 75 dollars a month for a MAX plan in order to pay off the phone which I think is ridiculous. I'm considering getting an iPhone or a Samsung Galaxy SIII. I'm leaning toward Galaxy SIII, but all my friends have iPhones and I know there's like facetime and iMessage and stuff like that. Privacy is really important to me, and I was using iMessage on my dad's iPad and I discovered that you can find "deleted" messages in the spotlight search. Is Apple spying on us? If so why? Are Android users spied on also?

Am I stupid for buying the iPhone 4S instead of the 5?

I got the 4s because it was alot cheaper and I needed a new phone right away because my old one broke. I could of waited to get the 5 but I couldn't stand not having a phone any longer so I just went ahead and got the 4s because that is what I could afford. Now I have to have it for 2 years. Was this a bad decision or is the 5 not really worth it? I just want to make sure it was a good decision to buy the 4s. Please don't say anything about the galaxy or anything, I chose iPhone because I like the way they look and feel better.
