I need a book or something to teach me how to make apps for iphone and android while running linux 12.04 operating system. I recently eliminated windows and installed linux! I love it! The problem is that there's no books or anything that i could find to build apps for android and iphone while running linux operating system. Please help! I have business ideas and i just need something to help me get on my feet!
So i currently have an iphone 5 with so many problems but i want the new galaxy s4 so i don't want to take it to apple and get it replaced. I have the money for it, its just my parents won't let me just buy a new phone with a decently working iphone. My plan is to say "its broken internally and apple can't fix it" and get the galaxy s4 (and put the iphone in a drawer or something) and a month or so later say "I just tried to turn on my old broken iphone just to see if it would work while cleaning out my drawers and it turned on!" and my parents will just let me sell it on craigslist or to a friend. The question is, how can i temporarily break my iphone to the point of defectiveness but then recover it after i get the s4. How can i show my parents that my iphone won't turn on or don't do anything but then make it work later?
Please don't say "your spoiled" or "just keep it" because i payed for my iphone and i pay the monthly bill. If i don't like it, i can buy myself a new one, its just my parents won't let me. Thanks in advance

Ok so I want to know how to make a video on YouTube into just the sound and to download the sound to my iPhone 4 using just the phone. I also have an app that I use to download music and I keep all music on there. Incase you want to know the app is called free mp3.
Alright so I don't live in an area where they have radio Disney anymore, so I listen on their iPhone app. My iPhone normally doesn't go through when I try to call. By that, I mean it just keeps ringing and ringing. Currently there's a contest going on and I want to get qualified. But when I try to call in NOW I just get the beeping noise on my phone. Do they have too many people trying to call in or what?
When I plug in my headphones, I can hear the music perfectly, but when my headphones are not plugged in, the songs will show that they're playing, but no sound comes from the speakers. I went to settings and adjusted the sound level for my ringtone & it played from the speakers. I know my speakers are fine, but other than adjusting the noise level, without my headphones, my phone won't make any noise! No clicks or alert sounds come from it. I'm not even given the option to turn up my music, not from the music screen. & the side button on the phone won't turn up the sound.
If you've ever plugged in your phone to an aux port, you'll know how the controls on the phone won't work, & that for sound you'd have to turn up the sound from the radio or car it's plugged into. That's how my phone is acting right now.
I'm not sure what to do. This has never happened before. I've tried completely restarting my phone & nothing has happened. I do have warranty on this phone. Will it cover it?
I have an ipod nano & an iphone 4. NONE of my music was saved on itunes, only on my ipod nano. I have no music on my computer either because it was lost due to a broken laptop. Please help me find the best and easiest way to transfer my music.
Also, my iphone isn't jailbroken and I would like to keep it that way.

I get emails to my account when there are online deals. One deal that I was seriously considering was a retail $30 USB Sync Cable for iPhone 4/4s. I think it is a 3rd party company but it says the following: "Today we bring you the 30 Pin USB Sync and charging cable for iPhone/iPod users." What are these pins? Do all apple compatible cables need "30 pins". Thanks for all of your help.

I just can't see myself shelling out so much money every month for that bill. I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 with Boost Mobile and I love it. It is my first smartphone lol weird because I'm 21 lol. Anyways all of my friends have iPhones literally all of them and I get so tempted to go get one but they complain to me all the time about their bills being too high. One of my friends says her bill is $180 a month I told her that would cover me for three months with a little change leftover. What should I do? I want one but that bill is just outrageous. I know I can get one without a contract but Apple is so freaking crazy when it comes to iphones (I'm a computer geek and I do my research) they will glorify a new product like it is the second coming of christ and then put it off to the side when releasing a newer product with very very very minor tweaks here and there look at the release of the iPad 3 and 4 literally a few months apart thats why I'm so hesitant on buying things from them. I do not know what to do. Its just like every time they release something new its an urge to go buy it.
I've always been the kind of person who meets every challenge on time and above expectations. This is how EVERYONE works where I'm from, but today it seems people are no where near this. It amazes me why unemployment is not 90% and not because of the economy, but just because people just want to come to work, drink their starbucks, post on facebook, and get away with the least amount of work they can, then they approach any new task with the attitude "what's in it for me?" I don't understand these new trends, and frankly it concerns me greatly. I think 1/4 of the hours people put in they spend on their iphone or computer posting on facebook, and considering I'm talking about a company name in every home, I have to assume this is going on everywhere.
It feels like the work ethics of Americans has cancer to be honest.
