Should I use IMessage with a limited data plan?

Ok so I have 300MB of data on my iphone 4s. I want to use imessage so i can get group texts. I have turned imessage off for 6 months now and am only using the sms. But i have to turn the data on if i want to get group texts and that is too much of a pain. And when i turned imessage on and i don't have Wi-Fi, i won't get texts at all. Is there a way that I can get group texts without using imessage. I rarely ever turn my data on because i'm afraid that it will go over. If I'm texting someone on imessage with Wi-Fi and then i leave without Wi-Fi, will it switch to sms and i will get the texts my friend sends me?

Iphone is receiving texts from strangers?

My dad's iPhone 4 keeps receiving text conversations from several numbers. There are outgoing messages as well, as if he sent them (but he didn't).In other words, it's as if he's watching two people text a conversation, but from several other numbers too. Before calling our service provider, does anyone know what's going on?

By the way, he bought the iPhone used. But he's had it for a few months already and this just started happening now.

How to update to latest itunes on pc?

Okay so I just got the iphone 5 and i previously had the iphone 4 and i plugged my 5 into my computer and it did not connect for some reason. Itunes didn't pop up and it also didn't charge my phone.So, correct me if i'm wrong, but I guessed that it was because i dint like to update my itunes so i have an old version. And I know that when you click on itunes it asks you if you wanna update but i'm the stupid person that pressed never ask me again… So yea. ANyone have any idea how to do this?

How to WATCH Radio 1 on my iPhone 3GS?

I really want to watch the Dan and Phil radio show tonight but when I go on the radio 1 website it says this content doesn't seem to be working. Try again later. I don't think you can watch on the iplayer radio app either and the computer isn't a possibility. I can listen on my radio!
Are there any apps where it will let me watch or a way to solve this issue?
Any help will be appreciated! Also, it was working a few weeks ago but not before I updated my phone or now!

How to clear out other category on my iphone 4s?

When i went to sync my iphone earlier today it showed over 3GB in the "other" category. What exactly is that category and what can i do to clear some of that out so i actually have room for things i want on my iphone 4s?

Can you buy an iphone without a data plan?

My dad says I'll have to pay a monthly $20 data plan fee if I get a new iphone. The iphone I currently have is old and is my grandpa's old iphone. We do not pay a data plan on my iphone, but if I get a new one, will I? How can I avoid that?

Will I lose all my information when switching iphones?

My screen broke and for the longest time I've been debating over getting a new phone. I'll obviously get a new iphone, but I have a lot of games on the one I have now that i'm on really high levels with (i'm not a nerd, just have a lot of time on my hands). I was wondering if that when I save to the cloud. (whatever that it) then switch phones immediately. Will I lose stuff like the levels I was on in the games as well as anything else? Can anyone share their experiences switching Iphones. I have the iphone 4s incase anyone wants to know and i do have an icloud account.
