How to download apps on my Iphone 3 without a credit card?

I have the Iphone 3 and I'm trying to make an account on apple, but when the credit card info comes up I can only choose visa, credit card or emex. Do I have to have a credit card to make an account and download apps? Thanks!

P.S. I'm trying to download on my phone not on the computer.

How much does it cost to keep an iPhone running?

So I was thinking of getting an iPhone 5 (http://www.apple.com/iphone/compare-iphones/). Buying the iPhone itself? No problem at $200-400 since it will replace getting an iPod and cell phone. But don't you have to pay for internet service, texting, and calling? Can I just buy minutes for calling and texting? How much would it cost to buy minutes? How much for internet service? For a normal cell phone I can get by on $10 a month with minutes since I don't use it often.

Added (1). Also, is the 16GB enough, or should I go for a 32GB or a 62GB? My iPod Nano (4th generation) is about 8Gb or so, but I would most definitely like it to hold more than that. I'm thinking of the 32GB - But then again I don't know how much information needs to be stored on the iPhone.

Websites/iPhone apps for people starting out with jogging?

I want to start getting into jogging/running so obviously I couldn't just go out and do a 10 mile run but I'm looking for a website or iPhone app (not ones that just track your run) that gives step by step builds up for increasing your running distance and stamina? Sort of like a basic training program.

Any ideas?
