How to retrieve songs off my apple ID?

I have recently jail broken my phone. I never backed up any of the songs i bought via itunes directly on my iphone to my itunes, so when i jail broke it. I lost all the songs that i never put on itunes
I was wondering if there was a way i could retrieve the songs i had on my phone via my apple ID? Because i know sometimes when you buy apps and you loose them, your apple ID lets you download them again for free since they know youve already bought it.
i have so many good songs i lost! Someone please help

I have already tried sliding my finger over the song so the delete button will come up but that dosent work. I have alson tried taking all my songs off using my computer, by syncing my phone and taking off all the songs but that didn't work either. Is there anything else? Please comment and thanks! Xx

Some reason, when I erased my iphone, and started fresh, I texted my friend, and they said that they were texting my email instead of my phone number.So, I went to the settings app and went to imessage and it says 'waiting for activation' AND, where it says 'Send & Receive' like my phone number is like gray, and won't let my select it. Only my email. HOW DO YOU FIX THIS!
