Cracked screen iPhone 4S? Apple have said it can't be replaced?

However I keep seeing places advertising screen repairs.

Apple have said that they need to replace the whole phone and it will cost £140.

I know that if I take it elsewhere it will void my warranty but I have also read that my warranty is already voided as I have dropped & damaged it.

Has anyone had their screen replaced on the 4s?

Such as with an iphone or ipad. I'm getting a new ipad mini next week. Only using it on the Wi-Fi network. Would i be able to jailbreak it and if so can you get caught some kind of way because i know its illegal? Also what things can you do with it that you wouldnt have been able to do before?

Was wondering if there's any iPhone 5 case out there that is compatible with a screen protector and/or a back film protector on the iPhone itself? I understand cases like Lifeproof need you to remove your screen protector so it can maintain it's waterproof abilities. Was just looking for a case that can work both ways.

My toshiba laptop will not pick up any Wi-Fi?

I have a toshiba that is a year and half old. I have been using an ether net cord straight from the modem from the cable company. 2 days ago I bought a wireless router. My kindle and my iphone picks up the internet from the router but the computer will not. I clicked on the internet connections on the bottom right hand side and all it says is broadband connection available with a big red X. I have pushed the FN F8 key. I called the cable company and they walked me through few steps and they said for some reason I no longer have Wi-Fi capabilities on my computer. How do I fix this?

Downgrading iPhone 4s Firmware?

I have a Sprint iPhone 4s. I upgraded to 6.1 and my phone has not been working properly. I've had problems ever since upgrading to iOS 6. I want to downgrade to 5.1.1. I downloaded 5.1.1 online and try to restore (the whole shift+restore thing) and got an error code(3194 I checked it out on Apples website). Can the firmware be downgraded using a 3rd party program or am I SOL?

About 5-6 minutes ago, I dropped my iPhone in the toilet.
I dried it off, and the screen was fuzzy.
Then the screen went really dark, to the point where I can barely see it.
I tried turning it off, but the touchscreen isn't working

Yesterday my iPhone's power button broke. I dropped it back in November and it cracked. But it was in an otterbox and it suddenly just stopped working. Will apple fix my iphone or not? I still have a one year limited warranty. Also my battery has been dying kind of fast for about 4 months.

I have an otterbox defender for my iphone 5 and my brother has the life proof for his iphone 5. The otterbox and life proof are both so unstylish I want to find a case that is stylish and protects the screen of my phone… Are there any other brands that do this?
