I have an iPhone 4 and I want to upgrade to iPhone 5?

Okay so, i'm with the phone carrier Virgin Mobile, i'm from canada so i'd imagine its basically the same. Anyways, I've had my iphone 4 since June which i believe was 15 months ago, it's been more than a year i'm positive cause I got it in june, I'm wondering can i upgrade to an iphone 5 without paying a stupid cancellation fee from my existing contract, cause i talked to someone from a kiosk and i don't think they understand what i'm trying to say. Like i don't see why it would be a problem to upgrade to a new phone with the same plan, especially after its been over a year of having my original iphone 4.So does anybody have any suggestions? Cause the reresentative on the phone is telling me i have to buy out of my contract? How does that make any sense like why would i buy out of my contract if i'm just changing to a different phone? Makes me seriously consider leaving them after my contract is up, they would know that too. So anybody please help!

Realiphone5giveaway on Instagram, scam or real?

Seems legit I mean unless they told someone just to tag them in there new iPhone 5 picture, it seems like the guy actually got a phone from them. Their email is RealiPhone5giveaway@aol.com. Tell me if its a scam or not but only if you actually check it out!

Updated 4s to iOS6 won't stop restarting

So i updated to iOS6 and as soon as it finished updating it did the mandatory restart but once it did this it never stopped doing it. Now i'll reach the lock screen and the background will say iPhone but as soon as i unlock it it freezes and restarts itself. Any help would be appreciated.

Which is better: Iphone 4s or Nokia Lumia 900?

So after a long time of having my Nokia Lumia 710 (which i love) i've decided to get a new phone. At first i wanted to upgrade to the Lumia 900 since i loved the 710, but almost everyone who has iphones says they're amazing. I do love the nokia lumia, but i've never had an iphone and i was thinking about getting one (specifically the 4s, i'm probably not going to get the iphone 5 since it's expensive and everyone wants one). The thing i'm worried about is that the iphone thing is just a trend and people just get it because everyone wants one. Any suggestions? Also no bias answers please. I don't want to hear from someone who's had nothing but iphones or nothing but nokias.

IOS 6: Can't send texts or iMessages from iPhone 4?

I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 6 about two nights ago. It was working fine until yesterday afternoon, when my SMS application froze as I was sending a text to a friend. After the initial freeze I was able to send about two texts but now, I can't send any. My phone will either freeze as I'm typing the message or will freeze when the sending progress bar is about 80% through.

I've tried restarting my iPhone (when you hold the lock and home button), closing the app, syncing my phone, and I even tried restoring it as a last resort. I've googled this problem to see if anyone else is experiencing the same thing but most people's problems seem to lie within iMessage only, while I have problems with messaging in general. I have an appointment at the Apple Store tomorrow night, but are there any "home remedies" left to try?

Do i have to restore my iphone?

Switching to the iPhone before my upgrade? - 1

I have a droid and I have Verizon Wireless. I know you can get the iPhone 4S for $99 if you get a new contract, but I already have a contract and I used my upgrade a year ago so I think I have another year left until I get another upgrade. You can also get the iPhone 4S from Apple for $99 but you need to fill in your cell service info so I'm confused if this deal also requires a new phone contract or not? I guess what I'm asking is is there any way I can switch to the iPhone for the $99 without getting a new contract, or will I have to pay full price of $500-something? I don't really get how this works.

Added (1). I really want the iPhone for my own reasons, and I easily have $100 to spend for it (not $500 though), so I really just want to know if that's possible
