I'm trying to add music to my iPhone 4 and when I go to sync just the music, it says 'erase and sync'. Will it delete my photos? If so, can I right click my iPhone and back it up so if it does delete my photos, I can just back it up?
Would it work if i played my guitar like this?: i would plug a regular amp chord into my guitar and on the other end would be a multi effects pedal with another amp chord on the output jack and on the other end of that chord would be something like this: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062467 which would go into a regular speaker meant to play ipods. It also has an auxiliary input in the back which is where that would go. Would that work or would i lose sound quality/volume in the adapter? I lost my phone so as a replacement i got my Dads old phone which is fine but he wants the notes from his old iPhone.anyway i know how to do it using mobile me but the problem is it's an incredibly outdated iphone and doesn't have the option it would have if i updated it. So if i was to update the phone would i lose my notes?
I hear people talk about jailbreaking their iPhone/iPod all the time, but I'm not really sure what that means? What are the benefits of doing this?

I bought an iphone 3gs from ebay and it was locked to telstra, i live in australia and telstra apperently unlock it for free but they need details and i don't know anything about the iphone so the guy told me that he can't do anything about it, i heard there's a number called 1800-IPHONE and that they could unlock it there or is there another way or am i just screwed.
